About the Podcast

 the power of conversation.

Stable Connections offers a space for personal perspective and creates room for both the speaker and listener to share, learn, and process together. Some of the guests interviewed are professionals within the industry, while others are not.  At the end of each conversation, it's not uncommon to feel humbled by how much can be learned by simply listening and we are reminded that we are all here doing the best we can with the cards we are dealt.

 Shonna

is the voice (and creator) behind Stable Connections the podcast. She created the podcast to help foster community and understanding within the equestrian world.

Growing up in Los Angeles, CA within the Hunter Jumper world, Shonna was fortunate enough to have her pony "Dreams Come True" in her backyard with her trainer being just across the street.  With an absent father and a "survival mode" mother, Shonna utilized her backyard as her escape.

Around the age of 14 was when her parents divorced and horses became a temporary thing of the past, with boys and popularity taking president.  It wasn't until her early 20's that Shonna found her way back, teaching beginner lessons in Lake Oswego, Oregon. As many of us do, Shonna dipped her toe in multiple equestrian jobs; assisting trainers, working at tack shops, starting her own Equine Consignment Business with a friend, and grooming for Cavalia's Odysseo.

Life brought her to Sonoma County, CA where she started West Coast Magnawave, offering PEMF to horses, humans, and small animals. This gave her the opportunity to connect with multiple different backgrounds and individuals where the idea to create Stable Connections the Podcast came about.

With an undergrad in Psychology, Shonna utilizes skills of presence and authenticity to provide a safe place for guests to feel confident and comfortable telling their stories openly and honestly.
