About the event

A clinic on Anatomy of the Hoof and how to trim and shoe to best protect the health and soundness of the horse

The clinician is Kirk Adkins, farrier, researcher, university lecturer, and founder of Equithotics Inc. Decades of shoeing at UC Davis VMTH employing the paradigm 'form follows function' confirms the validity of shoeing with a thorough understanding of anatomical form and biomechanical function. Far too many horses are trimmed and shod based on fad and fashion with predictably poor results. To avoid future problems, it is essential to understand the structure and function of a horse's anatomy.

Bring your lunch and a chair.

Farriers and

Owners, all levels of experience are invited
